Jewels of Slovenia
Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana inspires every visitor with its rich heritage and setting. Its quaint old town fascinates with lush renaissance and baroque architecture, and its grandeur is noticed by extravagant Art Nouveau from Vienna. Admiring this lovely city is best from its river banks with numerous bridges (Triple bridge being most famous one), or feeling the vibe of Ljubljana when passing through the open market and local cafés.
Next, a short drive takes us to the jewel of the eastern Alps, lake Bled. Its emerald green colour, little church on an island and the country's oldest castle sitting on the top of the high cliff offer unique experience one must see when visiting Slovenia. After the drive around the lake, we visit the Castle offering stunning views over the entire lake and its surroundings. Do not forget to take a traditional “pletna” boat ride to the island, where you can ring the legendary wishing bell in the church. Your wishes just might come true!
